Well-Known Sports Personalities Join Growing YCOA Family
TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Tampa Harbour Yacht Club (THYC) is
pleased to announce the newest additions to its membership, with a few
names that are recognizable to any sports aficionado. Fellow members of the
Yacht Clubs of the Americas (YCOA) may soon find themselves enjoying a
cigar or cocktail alongside a Tampa Bay pro-athlete or sportscaster in one
of the club's martini lounges or waterfront bars.
The most recent members to join the YCOA family include MLB Hall of
Famer Wade Boggs, formerly with the Boston Red Sox; NHL Hall of Famer Phil
Esposito, retired from the Chicago Blackhawks; AFL Hall of Famer Tim
Marcum, coach for the Tampa Bay Storm; Steve Deumig, "the Sports Animal" of
Sports Radio WDAE 620; J.P. Peterson, the sports newscaster for television
station WFLA Channel 8 and Ron Campbell, the president and alternative
governor of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
"I'm excited about being a member of one of the country's most
prestigious network of luxury private yacht clubs," said Tim Marcum. "Tampa
Harbour Yacht Club is going to be a first-class operation."
These new members join Mike Alstott of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and
Jose Wejebe, the "Spanish Fly" of ESPN2, who both own slips at YCOA's Key
West Harbour Yacht Club.
YCOA is setting a new standard in the boating lifestyle with its
premier network of luxury private yacht clubs featuring Dry
Rackominiums(TM) and Wet Dockominiums(TM) with five-star service. YCOA boat
slip owners enjoy the unparalleled amenities of a yacht club atmosphere
featuring martini/cigar lounge, waterfront cocktail bars, tiki hut
barbeque, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, gourmet deli and coffee shop.
Members also enjoy reciprocal privileges at other YCOA ports-of-call
including Destin, Key West, Naples, Stuart, New Smyrna, Riviera (Ft.
Myers), Ft. George (Jacksonville) and Grand Bahamas.
With one call to the yacht club's dock master, owners can have their
boat waiting dockside and stocked with the requested meals and drinks
prepared specially by the resident chef. When members arrive, dockhands
will unload the provisions as a valet parks the car. Upon return, a
member's boat engine will be thoroughly flushed before the vessel is safely
stored under the supervision of a 24-hour security staff. Owners also enjoy
wholesale pricing on their fuel, food and beverages.
