Courtroom Hybrid Melds Real Small Claims Court Action With Celebrity Jurors

BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The newly formed partnership
of Foster/Tailwind Entertainment's first foray into programming sales has a
gavel falling to a different beat with the first run courtroom series,
"Jury Duty."
Available for Fall 2007 as a half-hour, 50/50 barter strip, "Jury Duty"
will deliver real small claims cases with real litigants while extending
the entertainment factor by adding three celebrity jurors who can in fact,
question the litigants. Viewers will see each case from beginning to end
including behind-the-scenes in the deliberation room. Overseeing all the
courtroom activities is famed defense attorney and noted personality, Bruce
Cutler who, in his more than 30 years as an attorney, has represented
numerous high profile clients, garnering him celebrity stature.
In making today's announcement, Bobbi Fisher, Foster/Tailwind's
co-founder, said, "There is certainly interest in the show. It is
completely different from any court show out there. Some stations have said
it's 'like People's Court meets Hollywood Squares.'"
Co-founder Diana Foster added, "Bruce Cutler is the icing on the cake.
His charisma and wit is the conduit that keeps the action in this court
going from beginning to end, tying it all together. As entertaining as the
series is, he keeps it all in check, acknowledging that these are
legitimate cases with real people involved."
The series will be produced in Los Angeles under the Radar
Entertainment banner. Trifecta Entertainment & Media will manage national
ad sales.
